A carpet cleaning company in Modesto, CA had been in business for a while, but had big goals for 2026. They wanted to grow, get more leads, and show up better online to help them win more customers.
When they joined BookCleaningJobs, this company had never run paid ads on Google before. We started with a fresh Google Ads account.
There was:
No past Google Ads conversion data
No machine learning history
No proven ad account structure yet
New landing pages that needed to start converting
That meant we had to build momentum from the ground up. And we had to do it fast.
This client signed up for the BookCleaningJobs GROWTH Plan, which is a step up from our basic Google Ads package. The campaigns launched on March 19, 2026. Even though March was only a partial month, the account started gaining traction quickly.
From March to April:
Impressions grew from 4,051 to 8,588
Clicks grew from 307 to 535
Conversions grew from 36 to 67
Conversion rate improved from 11.58% to 12.43%
Cost per conversion dropped from $40.69 to $32.59
So in the first full month, this client got more traffic, more leads, and a lower cost per lead. That is exactly what we want to see from a new campaign.
Search ads helped the company show up when people were actively looking for carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning in the Modesto area.
In March, the Search campaign brought in:
111 clicks
12 conversions
$56.27 cost per conversion
By April, it improved to:
226 clicks
30 conversions
$45.61 cost per conversion
This showed that the campaign was getting smarter. Google was learning what types of searches were turning into real leads, and the results improved fast.
We often run Performance Max campaigns to help improve overall account results. But Performance Max can be tricky, and this campaign needed a little time to learn.
In March, it only had:
25 clicks
0 conversions
But by April, it had:
107 clicks
12 conversions
$12.53 cost per conversion
That made Performance Max one of the best-performing parts of the account. Once the account had better signals, it started finding people who were more likely to contact the business.
Carpet cleaning became the biggest lead driver.
March: 7 conversions at $75.52 each
April: 20 conversions at $54.55 each
That is almost 3 times more carpet cleaning leads, with a lower cost per lead.
Upholstery cleaning was also a strong win.
March: 3 conversions at $44.10 each
April: 8 conversions at $27.69 each
The conversion rate also improved from 15.79% to 19.05%.
That told us the local demand was there. We just needed to help the business get in front of the right people.

One of the most exciting parts of this campaign was how quickly this local carpet cleaning company started showing up next to major names.
In the auction insights report, they reached:
32.63% impression share
70.06% top of page rate
36.13% absolute top of page rate
That means their ads were not just running. They were showing up in strong spots.
